A tour to discover the fascinating lunar landscape offered by the Basilicata hills, with a visit to Craco, one of the most mysterious abandoned villages in Italy and the natural set of several movies.
This village was abandoned in the 1960s following a frantic movement. Today you can visit Craco by following an itinerary in the historic center until you reach the Norman tower, from which you can admire a breathtaking view of the Valle dei Calanchi.
On the way back, you visit the Crypt of Original Sin in the 8th century, the oldest of the rocky churches of the area, dotted with a cycle of 9th century frescoes.
